The end of September will be 4 years since finding him at the pound.
Wow...4 years.
He's been a great cat, with an...interesting personality, to say the least.
I wouldn't trade him for anything.

So, proposition 8 may be overturned.
The article was listed in the LA Times where Gov. Schwarzenegger stated "We will maybe undo proposition 8..."

Below is a reply to someone on another forum about this issue. While Prop 8 affects me in no way, I still think it was wrong to ban same sex marriage. A person loves who they love, and that's final. If we, as a country, tote about how everyone has the same rights to be happy, no matter what, shouldn't that thought be a realistic application and not just be a thought...or a theory?
**********
Really? Why is it wrong? You say that this lifestyle is wrong, but, why do you say it is wrong? Because your father told you it was wrong? Because YOUR specific religion tells you it's wrong? Or is it because you have tendencies and feelings that you've always had towards someone, but, because you were always told that those feelings were wrong you attempt to lash out at another for feeling the same way you want to? Why is it wrong to love someone, even though they may be the same sex as you? Seriously, walk in another's shoes...possibly for the first time in your life. What if YOU were told, "You're not supposed to love this person", or "No, you CAN'T be with this person in marriage because of THIS...", or you were given onslaught to, "Our founding fathers never intended this..." or, the (seemingly) trump card of "God will cast you into the firey pits of hell and damnation for loving another of the same sex..."
Seriously, I'll say it again...walk in another person's shoes.
Personally, my lifestyle is different. Prop 8 affected me in no way what-so-ever; I'm straight, but, I do have friends that the proposition does affect. I have multiple friends that are in the gay / queer / alternative lifestyle, or whatever the mainstream media wishes to call it and they are very loving, and very friendly people to be around. People I am proud to call "friend". People, in fact, that if any of them were to ask me to march with them, I'd probably say yes, for the simple fact of supporting my friend. What it comes down to is...it's their life. Those friends, and others, live the way they do; the way they feel comfortable living and their life doesn't hurt anyone else. Just because their lifestle is different than mine, i.e, they love someone of the same sex, doesn't make them less of a person and it certainly DOES NOT make them subject to having less rights than any straight person in this country, or on this planet, for that matter.
The courts are there to keep a system of checks and balances, and honestly, this unbalances the system somewhat. So what if a man and a man want to get married? So what if a woman and a woman want to be married? How does this affect you, or anyone else who doesn't agree with their lives, in any way shape or form? Does it really harm you or another person? Does it harm the country as a whole? The world as a whole?
No. It doesn't.
If your singular belief, or another's, is that a person must live "Man and woman" in order to ascend to "The Kingdom of Heaven" or that those persons are an "abomination" for living a same sex life, then that's your belief. But there is no need for anyone to mandate to another person what they SHOULD feel, what they SHOULD think, and who they SHOULD love.
Come into the 21st century...you'll find it's nice here.
There might even be milk and cookies for you...if you're nice.

Still getting comfortable with the new camera...
I ended up purchasing a Nikon f/1.8 50mm lens the other day. Very crisp, clean, and obscenely fast.
I'm not sure about posting any of these to my DeviantArt site just yet...I'm still getting used to the controls on the D200 and I don't feel I have them down enough yet to warrant this batch of small images to go into the gallery...Except perhaps the mountain (Mt. Shasta) view...
Comments and critiques are always welcome...
Your result for The LONG Scientific Personality Test...

So I've purused thru 5 rolls of film...
And I'm quite happy with some of the images I've found...
I still have to sort theu most of the black and white.
I always tell myself that if I can find at least *2* images per roll
then I'll be happy.
I am very happy with how these posted shots turned out.
They will be at my DeviantArt site soon,
and when I have my personal webpage built,
they will all be running in tandem.
As always ~
